Boris Policeband was the stage name chosen by Boris Pearlman for a few performances and a 7-inch album (title: Stereo/Mono, 1979), in which he played electrified violin while listening to police radio and repeating the phrases overheard into a hands-free microphone. His short career seems to have been very carefully shaped to constitute a very compact and truly legendary package. Only a few photographs, the short tracks from the album, two or three short and engaging memoirs written by interesting people, a couple of obscure minutes of video from a performance in 1978, not released until 2009 (X Magazine Benefit, COLAB).
